Grass Made In Britain

Regular readers of our grass blog will know that one of the things of which we are very proud is that we make the artificial grass we sell. Our grass factory is a constant hive of activity producing grass carpet for both leisure and sports use. In fact we expect to produce half a million square metres of artificial grass this year alone - enough we calculate to cover an area more than 50 times the size of Wembley!

Not only do we manufacture what we sell but our grass carpet is made in Britain - an extra source of pride for us. Located in Maryport, Cumbria our factory is traditionally British, with the majority of the staff being local people.

Here are some of our staff inspecting the grass carpet as it goes through the production line

Here are some of the bobbins of special yarn we use to manufacture our grass carpet

Here is the part of the factory where the drainage holes are made in the carpet

Maryport has a great tradition of British engineering. In case you missed it Maryport's History Remembered that we wrote back in April gives an insight into the port's amazing industrial connections from George Stephenson to Henry Ismay and the RMS Titanic.

All of this is why we are delighted to now have the Made In Britain logo on our website.

So if you live in Britain and want to buy British made artificial grass you now know where to come. We look forward to hearing from you!
